Studio Rio is a project from the Grammy-winning German production team of siblings Frank & Christian Berman, aka the Berman Brothers. The duo have been active since the early 1990s and have worked prolifically. Among their credits are tracks and albums by Amber, <a href="spotify:artist:72OaDtakiy6yFqkt4TsiFt">Cher</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0SdiiPkr02EUdekHZJkt58">Hanson</a>, the Baja Men ("Who Let the Dogs Out"), <a href="spotify:artist:2vRfKzjQYJQd67X8x49MOh">Real McCoy</a>, Jakaranda, and dozens of others. They have also contributed production and tracks to high-profile film and television soundtracks including The Parent Trap, Studio 54, Miss Congeniality, The Sopranos, and Fast Five as well as music, production, and arrangements for advertising for Honda, Casio, and Lexus, to name a few.

In 2006, the Bermans created and co-produced Rhythms del Mundo: Cuba, a non-profit benefit for album which turned the covers concept on its head. This album wed an all-star cast of Cuban musicians, including <a href="spotify:artist:5dss7E1Ph0KxuF1ULfAx4D">Ibrahim Ferrer</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:1h4iSQAKdvAAm07l6FX6dy">Omara Portuondo</a> of the <a href="spotify:artist:11kBu957KTYoAltZHDm8gW">Buena Vista Social Club</a>, performing the music of <a href="spotify:artist:4gzpq5DPGxSnKTe4SA8HAU">Coldplay</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0Ty63ceoRnnJKVEYP0VQpk">Sting</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3GBPw9NK25X1Wt2OUvOwY3">Jack Johnson</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:04gDigrS5kc9YWfZHwBETP">Maroon 5</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0LbLWjaweRbO4FDKYlbfNt">Kaiser Chiefs</a>, and more with both original and added instrumentation and voices. The album reached number one on digital Latin album charts in 20 countries simultaneously as a benefit for Artists Project Earth. In 2008, they produced a German-language version, Rhythms del Mundo: Cubano Aleman, featuring artists <a href="spotify:artist:47RPLpnGhBRTjQrRBOev9s">Xavier Naidoo</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7iWcRnQMinCoV2u5ICgsW0">Udo Lindenberg</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3GbUWWI1rMwAIPbUVPvnPA">Silbermond</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3rZBkgoRHG8M9jQL0QPNMi">Adel Tawil</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:4KivBMgSnZ7hCDfPm46fKc">Jan Delay</a>.

In July of 2014, they issued Studio Rio Presents: The Brazil Connection. The album, mixed by the multi-Grammy-winning engineer Jerry Boys, utilized original multi-track masters and state-of-the-art separation technology to extract classic vocal and instrumental performances by artists such <a href="spotify:artist:1ThoqLcyIYvZn7iWbj8fsj">Bill Withers</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1YzCsTRb22dQkh9lghPIrp">Billie Holiday</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7nwUJBm0HE4ZxD3f5cy5ok">Aretha Franklin</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3koiLjNrgRTNbOwViDipeA">Marvin Gaye</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3kUKwTJdH8FuWzF8p6Dg9E">Dave Brubeck</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4X8QFzZ1HqwPfwDfyjtwXC">Mel Tormé</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5m8H6zSadhu1j9Yi04VLqD">Sly & the Family Stone</a>, and more.
