SUEL tell tales about man‘s obsession with knowledge, through Alchemy, a progenitor of science. Used not beneficial, but out of ignorance, or fully intentional – as poison, it became a means of intoxication, control, or simply a bringer of death.

The lyrics deal with two intertwined aspects that are the foundation and guideline:

Alchemy, and so-called „Spiritual Poisoning“.

Both aspects are understood as a dark facet of man, which he has not been able to rid himself of – from past to present – and which has clung to him ever since like an immanent venomous curse.

Alchemy is mainly used in reference to real historical figures and occurrences. A central aspect is the development and the use of poisons in the history of mankind.
„Spiritual Poisoning“ is referred to by examples of religious indoctrination, charlatanry, of spiritual seducers and even totalitarian ideologies.
The concept views „Spiritual Poisoning“ as an antagonist of the own, true self. Thus, as enemy of the spirit, of the free individual.

Formed as a solo-project in 2019 by S.D. (also in Slidhr, Horresque, Nocte Obducta), driven by the desire to write music deeply rooted in classical 90‘s Black Metal, with a sinister and obscure Atmosphere. The project gained a lot of momentum when C.S. (Wound) joined on vocals in early 2021. Session drums were performed by M.S., also in Nocte O.
