Sukilove

Sukilove, a five-piece group from Antwerp, Belgium, is led by singer/songwriter Pascal Deweze. Deweze, who first gained American attention in 2001 as one half of the Belgian alt-country duo <a href="spotify:artist:5tupMyoSPDZLQ0ViAXAOIq">Chitlin' Fooks</a>, along with <a href="spotify:artist:0ZY9xX3ninRS8dDz82nRQS">Bettie Serveert</a> singer Carol Van Dijk combine a heavily <a href="spotify:artist:1KA3WXYMPLxomNuoE22LYd">Gram Parsons</a>-influenced take on American roots rock with an obvious fondness for the softer side of '60s pop. The rest of the band (guitarist Helder Deploige, keyboardist Pieter Van Buyten, bassist Guy Van Nueten, and drummer Stoffel Verlackt) hew closer to the latter side of that musical equation, giving Sukilove a less twangy and vaguely psychedelic sound.
