Sumo Cyco is a genre-smashing rock band from Ontario, Canada, fusing heavy riffs, punk energy, and pop hooks with a wildly cinematic DIY flair. Led by fearless frontwoman Skye Sweetnam who launched her music career as a teen pop star and re-emerged with a vengeance alongside co-writer/producer/guitarist Matt Drake and longtime bassist Oscar Anesetti, the trio has carved out a cult global following through electrifying live shows, self-directed music videos, and a world-building vision they call Cyco City. With three albums under their belt Lost in Cyco City (2014), Opus Mar (2017), and Initiation (2021) and over 12 million Spotify streams, Sumo Cyco has earned accolades including Best Female-Fronted Band at the Toronto Independent Music Awards and a win at Indie Week Canada.
