Launched in 2008, Kobra And The Lotus is the lifeblood and passion of Canadian vocalist and songwriter Kobra Paige.
Following the 2010 debut Out of the Pit and self-titled Kobra and the Lotus in 2012, they garnered a nom in the category of “Best New Band” at the Metal Hammer “Golden Gods.” Over the course of High Priestess [2014] and the one-two punch of Prevail I [2017] and Prevail II [2018], the fivesome amassed over 20 million streams, a Billboard Top 40 track 'Light Me Up' and a nom for “Metal/Hard Album of the Year” at the 2019 JUNO Awards. This was the first time a female rock artist had been nominated in that category. The band has attracted tastemaker praise from Revolver, Ultimate Guitar, and Metal Hammer who claimed, “that willingness to experiment will provide longevity.” KATL have shared stages with everyone from Kiss, Def Leppard, Judas Priest to Steel Panther, Buckcherry, and Slash.
In late 2018, the group retreated to producer Michael "Elvis" Baskette's [Alter Bridge, Linkin Park, Slash, Sevendust] Orlando studio and wrote an entire album “face-to-face.” This will be the band's 6th full length, studio album and is set to release in the fall of 2019.
With their tireless work ethic and creative ambition, this album builds on the promise of the past as it positions the band for a focused, fresh, and fiery future at the forefront of modern rock .
