Since their meeting in an obscure basement bar in Hamburg in 2013, they’ve played as much as possible to convince audiences of their contemporary take on "rootsy garage rock 'n roll." Their first full-length album, titled Twang Wolf Sessions (2013, Undertow Recordings), came out of this, named after the famed studio of their musical friend and producer Hans Hannemann, where the record was recorded.
Their second album, Sweet One (2015, Suburban Records), followed and became a smarter, more mature, and more diverse record, with a sound that at times feels psychedelic, while at other moments takes a turn towards garage or surf.
Since then, they've achieved a lot: a successful tour in England, their music featured in commercials for Ajax and Grolsch, performances in iconic venues like Paradiso and Melkweg, opening for greats like Beth Hart (HMH), a coveted minute on De Wereld Draait Door, and countless shows.
