Self described "four-piece angelical pop", Sunny Summer Day was founded in Bandung, Indonesia. The band consists of Dicki Hermansah (Voices / Guitar), Arief Norman (Guitar) Vicky Stefanus (Bass), Teguh Indra Putra (Drums). They are one of the promising indie-pop bands of the 2000s who are famous for their unique tagline, 'Proud to be Unpopular'.
Their first EP was released in August 2007 by Cloudberry Records of Miami, USA. In 2008, their second EP "Me, Myself and The Empty Soul" was released by Letterbox Records from London, England. After the last release of ep in 2008, 8 years later (in 2016), they released their debut full album titled Traveled Backwards which was released by Lisdia Records. The single 'In Summertime' on this album is a listener's favorite soundtrack.
Around mid-2019 Ferdy Destrian joined Sunny Summer Day. Early next year, they will make a breakthrough by releasing a mini album. The move started with the release of the single Dusk and Moon featuring Nana Furuya from 'Charlotte is Mine'. It is hoped that single can be the beginning to treat the longing of their beloved listeners.
