Sunnyland Revisited stems from the merger of two bands, the Stardusters, founded in South Glens Falls, NY in 1977 and the Sunnyland Farmboys, founded in Orono, Maine in 1978 by Ron Vanduzer, Dugald Sturges and the late Brian Leeman. Diverse gigs in the Downeast region including a television appearance on "Stacey's Country Jamboree" (broadcast across Maine and the Maritime Provinces of Canada) and opening the 1979 Bumstock Open Air festival. After an extremely long hiatus, Ron and Dugald reunited in May 2019 for their 40th anniversary concert in Catskill, NY, featuring Larry Balestra on drums and Philip Bacon on guitar and vocals.
Since 2023, with Tony Bouchér on drums (like Dugald and Philip a former member of the Stardusters) began recording their long (very long) awaited debut album. The first single, “Drift Into the Night” was released on March 30, 2024.
The current lineup:
Ron Vanduzer - Mandolin, violin, mandocaster, vocals
Dugald Sturges - Bass, piano, lap steel guitar, acoustic guitar, vocals
Philip Bacon - electric and acoustic guitar, bass, vocals
Tony Bouchér - drums, percussion
