From the heart of Norway, Sunset Queen is ready to take you through worlds of adventures and passion. Formed in 2019, the band has cast sound waves under the midnight sun, through dark winters and in mouse infested venues. From heartfelt, weeping motifs to heavy, uplifting riffs, Sunset Queen thrives in between the realms of rock. Whether baroque, psychedelic, folk, or bluesy, the groove is what glues it all together.
Steingrim Fiskum (guitar), Håvard Hasfjord (drums), and Håkon Haugen (bass), initially met at Trøndertun folk high school outside of Trondheim, where Emma Semonia Carrier Lien (vocal) also went a year later. They all developed significantly as musicians, as they were able to play, record, jam and perform with musicians from all over Norway, and beyond.
With sources of inspiration that stretches all the way back from the Renaissance and the Baroque period, and especially music from the decades between the 60´s through the 00’s, Sunset Queen has a unique blend of sounds and moods. All the members bring different elements to the table, and add their unique flavors into the mix.
