Suntapes explores the boundaries between neo-classic, ambient and cinematic music, always with a touch of gloom to it. To catch summertime melancholy musically as a form of art -> Somersault.

Original name: Tomas Johan Kristian Vanderplaetse. As a classically trained pianist, he combines compositions with acoustic piano, unique acoustic instruments from Asia, electronics and wobbly analogue synths. This results in the typical sound of Suntapes' atmospheric trips.

Hunting for hills (2018) and Shadows of Nagi (2020) are albums with psychedelic quirky musical trips with electronic and acoustic soundtrack music. Ambient Boulevard (2021) contains more ambient chill soundscapes. Sonic Landscapes (2021) are dark ambient drones. Indian Summer Soul (2022) has melancholic neoclassic and experimental piano tracks.
