Surgeons in Heat is an indie rock band based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Current members are lead singer/guitarist Johnathon Mayer, bassist Ryan Reeve, keyboardist Bradley Kruse and drummer Sam Reitman. The band has generated some good buzz over the years around the Midwest and were featured on an episode of NPR's World Cafe. They have released 3 full-length records. On their latest LP, Bored Immortals (Maximum Pelt/Shuga Records) Surgeons in Heat break out their most ambitious LP yet. It's a wiggly indie pop gem, with lush layers of chorus drenched synths and guitars that float over fat bass lines and the combo of both live and electronic drums.
