Susy K

Susy K is a Scottish neo soul singer-songwriter. Being brought up in Edinburgh by opera-singing parents and being surrounded by music, the singing bug caught her early on. After immersing herself in the music of legends like <a href="spotify:artist:7guDJrEfX3qb6FEbdPA5qi" data-name="Stevie Wonder">Stevie Wonder</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6AVLthptCPhfrxlHadOBJD" data-name="Jill Scott">Jill Scott</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7ooehj86xYi05XJoVNxJGO" data-name="Mica Paris">Mica Paris</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:6mQfAAqZGBzIfrmlZCeaYT" data-name="Chaka Khan">Chaka Khan</a>, Susy found soul music was her passion.

Now, she is a professional vocalist, songwriter, session musician and vocal coach. Her career lives between Scotland and London with her performing, recording and writing for numerous projects centred around neo soul, jazz and dance, with influences from the likes of <a href="spotify:artist:2RP4pPHTXlQpDnO9LvR7Yt" data-name="Lianne La Havas">Lianne La Havas</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7gSjFKpVmDgC2MMsnN8CYq" data-name="Jazmine Sullivan">Jazmine Sullivan</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1ooV8YZC1KbpEcrmI8WH0F" data-name="Yebba">Yebba</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1VgjAK52kjkQJQQRhTn02t" data-name="Moonchild">Moonchild</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:4YLUMAgNyttwx4hUHgtBtR" data-name="Blue Lab Beats">Blue Lab Beats</a>.

Throughout 2022 Susy has been releasing singles from her upcoming solo EP ‘Hear It From Her’, bringing soulful groove-led songs about self love, self worth, overcoming grief and championing yourself despite what others may think. Her songs have featured on BBC Radio Scotland, BBC 1Xtra, and on international radio in Italy, USA and Brazil.

She is also one half of the electronic soul duo <a href="spotify:artist:5mBcxrHjIo18uZPglUBQ8w" data-name="Velas7">Velas7</a> with electronic producer and writer McIntyre. They co-produced and released <a href="spotify:track:1iqvj2wdRk6Se2DTLYSw0O" data-name="Skin - Radio Edit">Skin - Radio Edit</a> and <a href="spotify:track:5SIa38Zb0tYf7iuVFzr7ex" data-name="Reunite">Reunite</a> during the pandemic lockdown of 2021, created and delivered entirely online.
