Suzy V

Dutch singer Suzy V knew from a young age that she wanted to make music her life. Her catchy pop songs clearly reflect her Sicilian roots. Nostalgic, cinematic, bombastic and organic are terms that describe her music well, as you can hear on her debut album Sound of the Sea (2019) and the following EP Pages Full Of Thoughts (2020), which she made with producer Wieger Hoogendorp (Caro Emerald, Goldband, Sophie Straat).

With singles Storm Inside, Somebody Just Like You, Lola and Give It Up, Suzy V received a lot of attention on Dutch radio stations NPO Radio 1, Radio 2, Radio 5, NPO Soul & Jazz and TV channel RTL 4. Suzy V also toured the Netherlands with the Popronde and as support for Blackbird. In 2021, Suzy V wrote the song A Lie To Believe for NPO Radio 1's Lockdown Sessions that she recorded with the renowned Metropole Orkest, arranged and conducted by Jochen Neuffer.

Two years after her EP Pages Full Of Thoughts, it’s time for new music from Suzy V. The Amsterdam-based singer went into the studio with producer Paul Willemsen (Michelle David, Blackbird) and with him she wrote the song New Moon, among others, on which she celebrates the Sicilian way of life.
