Originating from the small town of Skene close to the west coast of Sweden, Sven Karlsson is a musician and producer who was heavily influenced by the likes of Electric Light Orchestra, John Lennon and Metallica throughout his early years.
With drums as his first instrument, Sven began playing in a band at the age of 11 and later taught himself how to play the guitar. His first experience of music production, however, came as a teenager when he bought a reel-to-reel tape recorder, instantly becoming fascinated by having the ability to create, record and shape sounds to both express and provoke emotions.
Sven has admitted that musical inspiration “mostly appears by itself and if it doesn’t, I compose anyway”; his fascination with sound serving as an endless reserve of faith in both producing the finished track and enjoying the journey.
