Swerte was Born in Indonesia and claims Swiss / Indonesian heritage.
He found success early on as a teen by forming a breakout rap group called The Southsiderz in Indonesia who
were the opening act for Indonesian RnB singer Dewi Sandra for many of her shows during the late
90’s.
Swerte has released a 3 Mixtape Project titled “The Mini Mixtape Series” and a project titled
“Raconteur,” which brought him back to Indonesia for numerous shows.
Swerte also founded Dubai pioneering Rap group, The Recipe, and manages all label activities for the group. In 2017, the grouop released their debut album, Funerals & Purgatory, which features a collaboration with Talib Kweli and Spark Master tape. Following the release of the album, The Recipe released a string of singles which included, Biggie's Mac 11 featuring Mobb Deep.
