Gorilla warfare brings you the latest 4 track Ep from ‘T-Phonic’ and ‘AL
Storm’, titled “Elevate”.
‘T-Phonic’ started dj’ing at the young age of 15 drawing his influences
from mid 90’s hardcore and jungle. Over the years he has collaborated
with the likes of ‘Sigma’ and ‘A.M.C’.
At the same time, ‘AL Storm’ was starting his career in the early rave
scene. Known for his highly eclectic production skills he has worked with
the likes of ‘The Prodigy’, ‘Slipmatt’ and ‘Dj Seduction’.
The first track “Elevate Love” has a real 90’s feel straight from the get
go. With low warbling subs pushing constantly in the background, while
the high energy synths and vocal samples really bring this first track to
life.
‘You Sure Do’ comes next. Originally a massive hit in 1997 for ‘Strike’,
these 2 have taken it to the next step. Frantic toppers, thumping
basslines and with the original vocal sample. This track is fast, fun and
just makes you smile.
Track 3, “If you’re out of love”, has an amazing build up. The space fx’s,
flowing basslines, harmonic vocals and clean drums make this a
pleasure to listen to.
The last track “Sunrise in the dark” instantly gives you the feeling of a
classic western movie. The harmonica and trumpet samples fit incredibly
well within the deep subs. With a great use of risers and drop offs, this is
the perfect track to end a well-produced EP.
