Tagavaka is a music and art project coming out of Scotland, UK. Ivan Hall Barrientos, the producer and composer behind Tagavaka, has a rich background in music – a classically trained pianist-turned-music producer who has been involved in the creation of various music projects that have amassed over 100,000,000 streams globally.
After self-releasing his debut EP ‘Tagavaka’ in 2020, the project has since gained the attention of dance music titans <a href="spotify:artist:1goY4yaRANzadE03kmlUeq" data-name="Anjunadeep">Anjunadeep</a> – signing 6 tracks in one fell swoop. With tracks included in their flagship compilation series at the start of 2021, Tagavaka released his debut EP ‘Extrapolate’ which piqued the interest from the likes of <a href="spotify:artist:5CkVLGKUJkIc1pmSk10QP4" data-name="Eli & Fur">Eli & Fur</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:27gtK7m9vYwCyJ04zz0kIb" data-name="Lane 8">Lane 8</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2loEsOijJ6XiGzWYFXMIRk" data-name="Adam Port">Adam Port</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:5Pb27ujIyYb33zBqVysBkj" data-name="RÜFÜS DU SOL">RÜFÜS DU SOL</a>.
Since then, further releases (Water EP, Bijou EP, and Sun Rings EP) gained Tagavaka debut performances supporting <a href="spotify:artist:0WSSKmoRbxqLf3MnXInQ2J" data-name="Max Cooper">Max Cooper</a>, and performing at the unique Anjunadeep Explorations festival alongside <a href="spotify:artist:3IG3Ub4ra8AuSxCFDVkVco" data-name="Franky Wah">Franky Wah</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1eucLGnPT27tdEh6MU29wp" data-name="Marsh">Marsh</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6sOEMfvCfHQ9dhSWyamXVb" data-name="Nils Hoffmann">Nils Hoffmann</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:4L9PX6lwPWo2NeuXL9kyJK" data-name="Spencer Brown">Spencer Brown</a>.
