Takara is an Australian-born independent artist whose musical journey began at just 10 years old, recording covers on GarageBand. Spending her childhood crafting beats in her bedroom and sharing them on MySpace, she eventually formed a rap group with local kids. After years of feeling unseen in the Australian music scene, Takara took a bold leap in 2017—journeying to Chicago with only $75 in her pocket, where her distinctive sound and magnetic online presence helped her amass a cult-like following. Takara quickly climbed the ranks, earning the #1 spot on Triple J Unearthed and going viral on Instagram, where she engages fans with her witty coffee message reveals.
