Born on November 26, 1996, in Aichi Prefecture, Toya Takase is an Electronic, R&B, and POPS singer-songwriter known for his sensational mixed voice and addictive catchy phrases.
Taught singing basics by his grandmother, a vocal coach, he discovered songwriting in high school after being inspired by the guitar. Initially performing acoustic-style music on the streets, he gained fans but later redefined his artistic vision. In 2019, he relaunched his career under his real name, Toya Takase.
Since then, he has released genre-defying music, primarily rooted in Electronic while blending various styles. His first EP, NowtheWon (2020), carried a message of "overcoming the present" and reached No. 1 on Hong Kong’s top electronic charts in 2021. His following EPs, MEMO RANDUM and 13月1日 (The 1st of the 13th Month), also topped charts, expanding his audience across Asia.
His hit single どうして feat. 野田愛実 (Doushite feat. Emi Noda) achieved long-lasting success, while 白愛 (HAKUAI), a collaboration with Anson Kong from Hong Kong's top boy group MIRROR, became a record-breaking hit. His total plays on streaming and social media have surpassed 1.1 billion.
In December 2023, he released 愛℃ (Love℃), featuring collaborations with rising Japanese artists Ren and Mahiru.
In 2025, he will release his fifth album, the first in a year and a half, and embark on an ambitious tour across 10 cities in 8 Asian countries, along with 7 performances in 6 cities in Japan, marking a new peak in his career.
