TALLISKER is a French indie pop singer-songwriter who appeared on the international radar screen when her singles "Blind", "Somewhere" and "Cocagne" organically scored millions of streams. Her music is a synthesis of East and West, as a result of her occidental education adorned with Greek, Italian, Ashkenazi and North African ancestry she poetically brings forward.
The Azadi EP (2020), composed and recorded while exploring Paris, Tehran and New York, is a musical road trip at the crossroads of classical, Persian and electronic sounds. The unfamiliar instrumental energy and hypersensitive lyrics unveil stories of exile and pursuits of freedom, together with the hope and disillusion they bring.
Tallisker’s debut album, Contrepoints, released in 2022, is the full expression of her sound personality and bohême creative process of nomadic songwriting and DIY recording. Blending ear-candy pop-electronic with folkloric instrumental gimmicks, she delivers the catchy and cosmopolite vibes inspired by her role models M.I.A, Rosalia and Stromae. Her singles « Cocagne » topped #1 foreign track airplayed and shazamed in Turkey. Tallisker's whole répertoire is now expanding to new territories such as Romania, Germany, Italy and the USA.
She just released a new song, « Libre » (paying tribute to « Age Ye Rooz »), in the context of the "Woman, Life, Freedom" movement.
