Influenced by her father, Yitzhak Isaac Levy, a prominent Ladino music researcher, Yasmin combines traditional instruments like oud, violin, and cello with contemporary sounds. Her debut album, “Romance & Yasmin” (2000), garnered international attention, leading to a Best Newcomer nomination at the 2005 BBC Radio 3 World Music Awards.
