Tangled Hair was formed by members <a href="spotify:artist:6GQ6zI16tM5bFJ8HI2uomf">Alan Welsh</a> and James Trood of underground math-rockers Colour. Alex Lloyd joined to complete the trio, and they set about recording their debut. The aptly titled First EP arrived in 2009, and duplicated the atypical rhythms and unusual time signatures of Colour's music. The band followed with the Apples EP in 2011. Eventually, Tangled Hair put out their debut long-player We Do What We Can in 2018. The album's release was preceded by "Nao Is My Driver." ~ Bekki Bemrose
