Tanya Shanker has taken the music world in Bangalore by storm (and soon the
International arena). In less than a year she has performed with some of the countries big wigs that include Girish Pradhan and the Chronicles, Perfect Strangers (Hornbill winners), MOKSHA {<!-- -->{all stars}} and many more.
Tanya just turned 18 (yes, you read that right - Eighteen years old) but has an old soul. She turned professional in 2018 under the guidance of her manager & mentor Richard
Andrew (MOKSHA) who has been training her since she was 10 years old. She has since
been performing on a regular basis across the country (in the pre-covid era), apart from
writing & composing her own music.
Her first single “Thank You Mum” released in March 2019 went viral with over 20k views
in a week and got a lot of press coverage (Times of India + DC + online media/shares) and
loads of accolades from the Industry veterans. Her second single ‘Be Yourself’ (released
on Oct 2019) is a song about being yourself and not giving into peer pressure, she also
released “GONE GIRL” a song that stressed the urgency of the climate crisis, on world
environment day in June 2021.
Tanya's debut album “BATTLEFIELD” was released with grand success, and her second release, "What Lies Beneath" was met with widespread acclaim from fans and critics alike amassing more than 30k streams+ on Spotify alone.
