Hailing from Surrey Lane estate in Battersea, a stones throw away from Clapham Junction, South West London.Tappy’s musical journey kicked off as young as 14, but it wasn’t until 2018, during his third stint in prison, upon meeting another artist, that he started taking his talent seriously. Music has been both a therapy and a medium for him to express his knack for words and unique flows. Influenced by rap legends like 50 Cent, Juelz Santana and Cassidy and later by artists such as the Migos, Lil Baby and Lil Durk, his music mixes inspiration from their styles and stories with his own life experiences.

Tappy’s tracks are honest, reflecting the tough realities of street life and personal struggles without glamorizing it. His lyrics are self-aware, offering a glimpse into his life’s challenges and how he faces them. He’s had the chance to perform at O2 Islington, but for him, it’s all about the music and sharing his story.

His songs “Purple Clouds” and “Motion” showcase his range—from raw, emotional narratives to laid-back vibes, inspired by the beats and flows of his influences. TappyTayze is all about making music that resonates, focusing on putting out more tracks that speak to his and others’ experiences.

When he’s not making music, Tappy loves football and is a big fan of anime and manga.
