Tarik Robinson

Tarik Robinson is a veteran emcee and producer from Calgary, Canada. Now going by his birth name, the artist also known as Teekay has been a pioneer in the local YYC hip hop scene for years with his group <a href="spotify:artist:7pINBiGkyGRA50rqXQmFZd" data-name="Dragon Fli Empire">Dragon Fli Empire</a> alongside <a href="spotify:artist:0Cken6ZqYuE1snzABRPM8P" data-name="DJ Cosm">DJ Cosm</a>. Now the Jamaican-Canadian is looking to put the world on notice to his solo offerings as well.

The first project released under his new moniker was 2019&#39;s Unión Latinoamericana Beat Tape, featuring melodic dusty Latin samples chopped, looped and filtered over banging drum breaks.

2021 saw Robinson release &#34;Rotations&#34;, which features his beats and rhymes. The project has received stellar reviews, and brings the listener into an honest glimpse of the creative and colorful imagination of this respected artist as he explores themes like purpose, joy, growth, struggle and possibility within the cycles of life.
