Born and bred by the beaches of L.A. , musician Tate Tucker makes music that’s sunny and dreamy but charged with a restless energy, refusing to conform to any genre or style. On his Harvest Records debut EP, Shangri LA (2018), the rapper/singer/songwriter brings that dynamic to a batch of songs both hypnotic and reflective, a thoughtful escape from the chaos of the world.
The lead single from Shangri LA —“Breezy,” embodies his kaleidoscopic sound, blending bombastic beats with ethereal textures and melodies that soothe. Made in collaboration with producers Tim Anderson (<a href="spotify:artist:6qqNVTkY8uBg9cP3Jd7DAH" data-name="Billie Eilish">Billie Eilish</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2xe8IXgCTpwHE3eA9hTs4n" data-name="BANKS">BANKS</a>) and WaveIQ (Jaden Smith, Jazz Cartier, GoldLink), “Breezy” also hints at the mindfulness behind his creative process.
In 2022, Tate joined forces with WEB3 Music Collective LNRZ (cultivated by Reo Cragun + Clear Eyes and others) and participated in four sold out releases on SOUND.XYZ.
In 2023, Tucker released his sophomore EP, Serves You Right, produced by Kirk “KJ” Follette and Lyell Roeder in partnership with Preach Records/InGrooves.
