Teddy West

Teddy West is a Motswana-based singer, songwriter, rapper, and sound engineer.
Teddy West was born on the 8th of November in Francistown, Botswana. He is regarded as one of the most influential Hip Hop and AFROBEATS musicians in Botswana. He attended Shashe River School in Tonota and moved to Gaborone to study to further his studies. He later studied Bachelor of Construction engineering at Gaborone University College of Law and Professional Studies and graduated top of his class. During his university life, he met his music partner Shaba Shaba Stele in 2018 and started working on music professionally.
In 2019, Teddy West's first full-length project, the mixtape Yours faithfully, was self-released in (2018). It was followed by his second mixtape Tiide in 2019 led by the hit single Last Friday which peaked at number 2 on Yarona FM Rnb Charts. His third mixtape Sugar Rush under his alter Ego Sugah Ray dropped in (2019). The following year (2020), released a collaborative triple disk album with labelmates Abitola & Shaba Stele titled Kings under the group name Kings Of Bechuanaland which was the most successful album bagging deals from Lifestyle Club & Yamaha Peak Botswana.....more
