Representing Bed Stuy Brooklyn, Tekomin &#34;TEK&#34; Williams burst onto the hip-hop scene in 1993 on <a href="spotify:artist:2yN6bq26wynQcRuPkBYTDb" data-name="Black Moon">Black Moon</a>&#39;s <a href="spotify:album:5Di7sTCL8zU5rHMl98qliQ" data-name="Enta Da Stage">Enta Da Stage</a> album. Blending Jamaican Patois at times with his laid-back, gritty flow, TEK embodies the signature Brooklyn sound. He is one-half of the groundbreaking duo, <a href="spotify:artist:2p0Hf0MF8Nw8lwAXokczf0" data-name="Smif-N-Wessun">Smif-N-Wessun</a>.

Smif-N-Wessun&#39;s first single, <a href="spotify:track:5fyRqeycMofUoGmDis5Gu6" data-name="Bucktown">Bucktown</a> was released in 1994 and was a Billboard Hot 100 hit. The duo&#39;s critically acclaimed debut album, <a href="spotify:album:0TaYPOKCUDyvZU2APQ7kPM" data-name="Dah Shinin&#39;">Dah Shinin&#39;</a>, was released in 1995, charted in the Billboard Top 200, and would go on to sell more than 300,000 copies.
