Four-piece London-based, Anglo-Welsh indie rock band Telegram's career gathered pace as soon as a drunken demo was heard by British radio presenter Mark Riley, before they had even played a live show. Their one-track demo was sent to a friend in the band the Voyeurs, who was a guest on Riley's BBC radio show. Riley liked what he heard and invited them to record some music with him in Manchester. The band recorded music for its first album, which drew early comparisons to the Velvet Underground, Roxy Music, and the Krautrock scene. They released their first single, the buzzed-about "Follow," in 2013, produced by Dan Carey from the band Toy. The group's hotly anticipated debut studio long player, Operator, arrived in early 2016 via the band's own Gramgram label. ~ James Pearce, Rovi
