Telescreen kept things rolling in 2020 with the release of their latest single ‘Moving On’. The Melbourne indie-pop outfit hit new highs as they were crowned winners of Triple J Unearthed’s NIDA competition, added to Spotify’s Fresh Finds of 2020 playlist, topped the Triple J Unearthed charts and received significant international editorial success.
This follows on from the band’s breakout year in 2019 which saw the release of Telescreen’s debut EP. Lead single and title track from the EP, ‘Growing Pain’s’ was feature on popular UK blog Scientists of Sound which helped boost the track to #1 on the global Hype Machine charts and notch up over 15k plays in a matter of days. This was also a big year for the band on the stage too as Telescreen played some their largest shows to date. The five-piece shared stages with likes of Mosquito Coast, STUMPS, DIET., Francesca Gonzalez, Creature Fear and The Attics as well as selling out their biggest headliners and playing their first ever festival appearances.
With the promise of new music, 2021 begins a new chapter for the band as they look to amp things up in the new year.
