Who is Tèmilayé? A captivating writer, performer and producer formerly known as L. Marshall, he featured on Wretch 32’s critically acclaimed #5 hit ’Traktor’ and created the #2 smash ‘How We Roll’ (Loick Essien); collaborations with Burna Boy, Krept & Konan, Sneakbo and Synapson also followed.
Temi grew up internationally between London, Lagos and Fortaleza. After attending B.I.S. Nigeria (alma mater of Davido & JLS’s Ortisé) he returned to the U.K. for university. Signed to Mercury Records in 2011, he proceeded to work with an A-list line-up including Jerry “Wonder” Duplessis, Supa Dups, Novel (of Red1) and Fraser T. Smith.
Known for being able to rock any beat and treading the taut line between commercial appeal & underground credibility, this seasoned artist has turned his eye toward Afrobeats and we are looking forward to sharing more. Now living between London and Lagos, Tèmilayé (which, auspiciously, means ‘The World is Mine’) is concentrating on the release of his EP 'Prodigal' in the coming months.
