<a href="spotify:artist:0yIDrFWDGrnVk3FPLJmsX2" data-name="Tempers">Tempers</a> is the music project of New York-based singer-songwriter Jasmine Golestaneh, who blends emotionally resonant lyrics and an eclectic palette of electronic sounds into low-lit poetic synth-pop, with hints of techno, shoegaze and post-punk.
Tempers’ 2015 debut album, <a href="spotify:album:4uj1BNKsrRaeis2VjnVfvU" data-name="Services">Services</a>, included the underground dancefloor hit “<a href="spotify:track:3tpNnUzPHhN6kZfHUnoKfV" data-name="Strange Harvest">Strange Harvest</a>”. In 2019, Tempers released the LP <a href="spotify:album:1aPv6zzzcHcUsluBtytmpr" data-name="Private Life">Private Life</a>, which introduced a more introspective sound, followed by <a href="spotify:album:6DxlKOwxtgWIzruFVkFujU" data-name="New Meaning">New Meaning</a> in 2022, which was accompanied by a book of Golestaneh’s original collage art inspired by the record. Tempers’ art world leanings have led to unique collaborations including performances in museums, galleries and off-spaces, an EP (2017’s <a href="spotify:album:4Ivj9nDeiYa5ncwr6gzalJ" data-name="Fundamental Fantasy">Fundamental Fantasy</a> ) stemming from an artist residency with The Vinyl Factory, and the 2018 release of <a href="spotify:album:114QbOD6hAGIn7qOIF6X93" data-name="Junkspace (feat. Rem Koolhaas)">Junkspace (feat. Rem Koolhaas)</a> – a concept album in partnership with the famous architect which incorporated samples of interviews deconstructing the architecture of consumerism.
Founded alongside producer Eddie Cooper, in 2023 Golestaneh took full creative leadership of Tempers. The latest album Delusion, including its first single <a href="spotify:album:2BuU7sghWjPIFTcdlCzhTz" data-name="Sublevel">Sublevel</a>, is co-produced by Golestaneh and Jorge Elbrecht, featuring collaborations with visual artists Camille Henrot, Estelle Hoy and Sandra Mujinga, is set for release April 24th, 2026 on Golestaneh’s own new label fear of luxury, distributed by Cascine/Secretly.
