Forever Grey's music takes heavy inspiration from the post-punk and darkwave movements that emerged back in the late '70s and early '80s. The band published five cassettes in 2015 that were eventually released as the album <a href="spotify:album:2AZjMIQDNwXPKnGixm6xWU" data-name="Boundaries">Boundaries</a>. Next, <a href="spotify:album:0TOxjz15yD6vZU4LzN082j" data-name="Autumn Calling">Autumn Calling</a> was released on New York based noise label Prime Ruin in 2016. The band toured in the United States, Canada and Mexico around this time. <a href="spotify:album:4vkFkFOTEusDOuy70rDrkL" data-name="Alabaster Chamber">Alabaster Chamber</a>, the album which features the song <a href="spotify:track:3BMBp3Ope7onUWMUCyZ2ok" data-name="The Style Is Death">The Style Is Death</a> was self-released in 2016 with physical media made available by Poland based label Bat-Cave Productions. Next, <a href="spotify:album:1joLW4jRpV9ELUuZtzLiVp" data-name="Departed">Departed</a> (2020), and <a href="spotify:album:0lJDsMUvO0gnnYMEjISatI" data-name="Sympathy Garden">Sympathy Garden</a> (2022), were self-released and then pressed to vinyl by Young & Cold Records, Berlin based label.
