Terminal Serious was born in 2021 as a solo project by Luigi Buonaiuto, with the LP "Love was
lies" (Meuse Music Records, vinyl), a dark-wave album that talks about love, loneliness and love
for loneliness; the album is announced by the single "Lamb" (the song that allowed the band
to be known by a wider audience) and the single "Disorder" (accompanied by the
beautiful video directed by Studio Nubes).
In 2022 he released an EP entitled "Gift for you" (self-produced, CD) preceded by the single
"Nobody sees us" with the fantastic collaboration of Çağla Güleray (Ductape).
In November 2023 he began collaborating with the Swiss Dark Nights label, which released
"Love was Lies" on CD, before announcing the second Full-Length "Fear and Cure" to be released in March 2024; an album with alternative-rock and post-punk sounds with lyrics that tell of
fears and critical moments in life, and the way people try to deal with them.
In the fall of 2025 Terminal Serious released their third album "Tear You Away," with a more wave-oriented sound than their previous album. For the first time, Terminal Serious forgoes electric bass in the rhythm section, preferring old Roland analog synthesizers, which gives the new songs a cold wave vibe. The guitar sound has also changed: once the overdrive is finally turned off, the sound becomes more elegant and refined.
