Formed by Valentin Gout Kinzbrunner and Marion Josserand, Terrain Vague is part of the second generation of Toulouse's fine pop scene, which, following in the footsteps of artists such as Julien Gasc, Laure Briard, Julien Barbagallo and Astrobal, strives to write spontaneous, rich and free music, offering an alternative vision of French pop and variety.
Their first EP, Béguin was released in 2022. Their new EP Carré Magique (2025) continues the exploration of free-spirited, dreamlike pop, shaped by their travels between Toulouse, Paris and La Franqui. Between cinematic instrumentals and delicate harmonies, Terrain Vague weaves a universe where melodic softness meets sonic experimentation, borrowing as much from French pop as from 70s illustration music and Brazilian, Japanese and Italian sounds.
