A Paris-based musician from Reims, Leo Blomov started producing demos in his bedroom, inspired by the sophisticated, autarkic productions of R. Stevie Moore and Mild High Club. Blomov's meticulously-crafted French lyrics, which relate so eloquently of today's world, and his refined harmonies are in the tradition of the great masters (Beach Boys, Todd Rundgren), contemporary French pop (Bertrand Burgalat, Julien Gasc, etc.), Brazilian music and sound libraries.
His albums Carpe Noctem (2021) and L'Ermitage (2023) were released by the Label Attitude.
In 2024, Leo signed with the historic Tricatel label. His 3rd album, Blomovinho, was recorded over two sessions at La Bergerie studio with Nina Savary and Emmanuel Mario (Astrobal), and marked a turning point in his discography. All the tracks were written and sung in Brazilian Portuguese. Many artists took part in the recording: Bertrand Burgalat, Astrobal, Nina Savary, Vincent ‘Pieuvre’ Guyot, Laure Briard, Julien Gasc and Jocelyn Mienniel. For the lyrics, Leo called on Sébastien Trihan for proofreading, pronunciation and translation of the booklet into French. The album will be released on May 23.
