Terry Manning is a music producer, songwriter, photographer, engineer and artist, known for rock, rhythm/blues, and pop music.

Manning began in music with his local band in El Paso, Texas, and on a couple of occasions sat in with Bobby Fuller. Leaving El Paso, he moved to Memphis, and worked for years at Stax Records and Ardent Studios as engineer and producer, recording such artists as Isaac Hayes, Ike & Tina, Booker T. & The MG’s, Eddie Floyd, Al Green, Sam & Dave, Otis Redding, Staple Singers, Leon Russell, and many more. Manning was a principal part of Stax owner Al Bell’s production team for The Staple Singers, with such hits as Respect Yourself and I’ll Take You There.

Later working as an independent, Manning recorded Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top, Joe Cocker, Wattstax, Big Star, James Taylor, Leon Russell, George Thorogood, Joe Walsh, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Lenny Kravitz, Jimmy Buffett, Shakira,Shania Twain, Bryan Adams, Widespread Panic, and many more.

In the mid 1980s Manning moved to London, and worked for a year out of Abbey Road Studios.

In 1992, Chris Blackwell of Island Records sought Manning as a partner to revitalize hiss famous Compass Point Studios in Nassau,, which Manning operated for over 20 years. Artists included The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Dire Straits, and many others.

Manning’s music as an artist are West Texas Skyline, Heaven Knows, Playin' In Elvis House, and What's The Use. His new release will be the new album Red And Black.
