The 12/21 is a Filipino-Canadian punk rock trio originally formed in Manila, Philippines and now based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This energetic and performance driven act consists of three talented brothers: Roman Maceda, and twins Rico and Roque Maceda. Business Mirror quotes the band as "bursting with energy, emanating spunk, and quite simply, extremely catchy".
In 2023, their song Misery was selected number one song of the year on Spotify's Fresh Finds Philippines. The brothers was also nominated for Punk Band of the Year at the Manitoba Loud Music Awards and was also nominated at the Awit Awards for Best Alternative Recording in the Philippines. Toured Manila where they made a guest appearance on one of Manila's top radio stations, Wish 107.5FM. The brothers are currently signed under record label, Viva Records in the Philippines and their songs have been featured on Spotify's OPM Rising, New Music Friday, and Fresh Finds Philippines playlists, garnering over 150,000+ streams.
The band also performed at Skills Canada's opening ceremonies in 2023, been part of Canadian Music Week, and were featured in CBC Manitoba which celebrated their label signing in 2021, and won the Jim Beam National Talent Search in 2019. In the past few years the band has opened for some of the Philippines’ prominent acts who toured Canada like Arnel Pineda of Journey, Ely Buendia (Eraserheads), Bamboo (Rivermaya), The Dawn, Yeng Constantino, Orange & Lemons, and Kamikazee.
