The Autistic Monkeys are a Milwaukee-based band formed by Andrew (Slim Squirty, 2019-2025, 2026-) and Jose Ramirez (The GOAT). They are known for evolving from raw indie experimentation into a hard-hitting metalcore sound. What started as a small DIY project quickly turned into an outlet for loud guitars, emotional lyrics, and chaotic creativity.

Their first release, Skylight (2024), was an indie album recorded during the band’s early days. Andrew has been vocal about his dislike for the LP. “It’s cheap - and honestly kinda boring”
find guam. (2025) embraced a higher quality post hardcore sound.

In late 2025, the band released a four-track EP named “Breathe EP”. The release gave a slight view into the bands future sound, with the song “Breathe” being on the next album. The EP featured a mix of sounds, from Post Hardcore, Nintendocore, and Industrial Metalcore/djent.

By 2026, The Autistic Monkeys fully embraced a metalcore/djent sound. Their album “Cipher”, released in June 2026, represented the band’s heavier soundtrack ability. A month later, the band released a surprise EP “WR$gLEY”
