The trip-hop group Baby Namboos consists of programmer/songwriter <a href="spotify:artist:7fuzaYDpPHayUiRvqFqNjW">Mike Porter</a>, vocalists <a href="spotify:artist:4WieCRITgY2rE6qSTFvYIR">Claude Williams</a>, Leo Coleing and <a href="spotify:artist:6OzXCWH8abO5qPzD09vmaU">Aurora Borealis</a>, drummer Mad-dog and bassist Julian Brooke. <a href="spotify:artist:7fuzaYDpPHayUiRvqFqNjW">Porter</a> began the band in 1998, when he went to New York City to visit his cousin <a href="spotify:artist:6hhA8TKRNryM8FNzqCqdDO">Tricky</a>, who encouraged his musical explorations. Soon after, <a href="spotify:artist:7fuzaYDpPHayUiRvqFqNjW">Porter</a> and his friend Coleing began recording in a Manchester studio, adding band members along the way. <a href="spotify:artist:6hhA8TKRNryM8FNzqCqdDO">Tricky</a> continued to provide guidance and encouragement, performed on a few tracks, and released the Baby Namboos' debut album Ancoats 2 Zambia on his own Durban Poison imprint. ~ Heather Phares, Rovi
