The Beachers, started their career in Panama’s Caribbean province of Bocas del Toro in the mid 1960s. They were part of the 60s and 70s “Combos Nacionales” movement. Their music can be categorized as “Afro-Panamanian” and is centered in Caribbean Rhythms primarily calypso and soca, but also salsa, merengue and cumbia, all styles are interpreted in The Beachers original style featuring the organ. This album entitled “Cincuenta” celebrates their 50th musical career anniversary with new material, some remakes and interesting collaborations with other veteran and younger Panamanian artists such as Emilio Regueira from Los Rabanes (Latin Rock) , Pureza Natural (Reggae Roots), Latin Fresh (Urban), Samy Sandoval (Folkloric Traditional accordionist) and legendary salsa great Camilo Azuquita.
