THE BEAT-HELLS were formed by long time friends Neil Starr (Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons / Attack! Attack!) and Sibbi Hafner (Itchy) during the start of COVID-19 lockdown 2020. The idea of the band was born out of their mutual love and adoration for the Beatles and rock/punk music. Neil and Sibbi have chosen some of their favorite Beatles tracks and put a unique and modern punk rock spin on them. They recruited Will Davies (Attack! Attack!) to assume Bass guitar duties and the core of THE BEAT-HELLS was complete.
Due to lockdown circumstances the album was recorded remotely by each member of the band. Sibbi in Germany, Neil and Will in Wales. Rather than recruiting one drummer for the whole album, Neil and Sibbi decided to pick a different drummer for each track, which has resulted in over 10 good friends from all over the world playing on the album - and what a list it is too!
Meet the drummers - Ed Udhus (Zebrahead), Dane Campbell (Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons), Kob (punk rock factory), Johno Fisher (States and Empires), Eike Herwig (Donots), Sascha Madsen (Madsen), Michael Dreilich (Blackout Problems), Max Zimmer (Itchy), Daniel Kotitschke (Van Holzen), Flo Weber (Sportfreunde Stiller), Fab Füss (Emil Bulls) and Fabi Halbig (Killerpilze). What a killer line up!!
The bands debut album will be released on July 30th, containing memorable songs such as „Help“, „Ticket to ride“, „Good day sunshine“, „Back in the USSR“, „I saw her standing there“ and many more.
