The Belbury Circle

The Belbury Circle is a collaboration between two of the most prominent figures associated with cult favorite <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Ghost+Box%22">Ghost Box</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1ecdxtIzYmouY861RceKRW">Jon Brooks</a> (<a href="spotify:artist:6W0YlZ9EupJ8kSsW97KG6S">the Advisory Circle</a>) and label co-founder Jim Jupp (<a href="spotify:artist:0CiNWo5EYXqsHrRkmEBgSB">Belbury Poly</a>). While the two artists are often associated with making haunting music inspired by vintage sci-fi and horror soundtracks as well as pastoral psych-folk, the Belbury Circle's releases, 2013's Empty Avenues EP (with <a href="spotify:artist:36pk438TUUMdX59j1zbvTu">John Foxx</a>) and the 2017 full-length Outward Journeys, blend library music with early synth pop.

Jupp co-founded the U.K.-based <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Ghost+Box%22">Ghost Box</a> with graphic designer Julian House in 2004, and <a href="spotify:artist:1ecdxtIzYmouY861RceKRW">Brooks</a>' <a href="spotify:artist:6W0YlZ9EupJ8kSsW97KG6S">the Advisory Circle</a> became one of the first acts signed to the label. <a href="spotify:artist:0CiNWo5EYXqsHrRkmEBgSB">Belbury Poly</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:6W0YlZ9EupJ8kSsW97KG6S">the Advisory Circle</a> shared a split single as part of the Ghost Box Study Series in 2012. The first Belbury Circle release was the 2013 EP Empty Avenues, a collaboration with synth pop pioneer <a href="spotify:artist:36pk438TUUMdX59j1zbvTu">John Foxx</a>.
