The Black Square (formerly Black Square) is a band and writing group based out of Chicago. Started in 2018 as an Alt-Rock band based out of Chicago, The Black Square has since completely rebranded into an Alternative Pop act in late 2022. The current lineup consists of Ed Pogalz (a founder and bassist of the original lineup), Chicago songwriter, Tony Klacz, and singer-songwriter, Mercy Otis. Previous members include Carson Elliott, Ryan Chu, and Daniel Murphy. naive girl, their first single as "The Black Square" dropped June 9th, 2023!
