The Bloody Mallard is a London-based heavy psych, prog and alt-rock project. After experimenting with melodies, rhythms and tones that were reminiscent of many mushroom trips in rural Kent, the sonic segments finally formed into songs which turned into the album, ‘Realm’.

Using various time signatures, polyrhythms and specific harmony principles, The Bloody Mallard has created a sound with distinct rock and acoustic tones that give a comfortable familiarity, yet a new exhilarating take on song-craft.

In 2019, The Bloody Mallard headed to the studio for recording with producer and engineer Jarred Hearmen  (Wretch 32, Mammal, John Butler Trio, The Prodigy, Slipknot, Katy B, Tinie Tempah, Sinéad Harnett) at Konk and City Sounds Studios. The recording process provided further creative output and a beautiful rich sounding album.

‘Realm’ is a progressive and heavy psychedelic journey which moves through different tones, paces and themes as it encourages the listener to explore their inner-mind with a meditative state of reflection. 

The Bloody Mallard is an open invitation of exploration for all listeners.
