The Blue News is an American indie rock band originally formed in Terre Haute, IN by musician Brent Orndorff. The style of their music has many influences and has been hailed as '"unique" and "a signature sound" by reviewers and press. Listeners will hear influences of the blues, 60s-90s and modern rock, modern alternative, blues rock and more. Their unique brand of music fuses catchy guitar riffs, soulful vocals and hard-hitting drums - all coming together to create raw rock and roll energy. In reviews, the band's sound has been compared to The Black Keys, with vocals by Orndorff compared to that of Chris Cornell of Soundgarden, and songs compared to Led Zeppelin and Credence Clearwater Revival. In 2007, two songs were placed on network TV gaining them their first national media exposure. This initial exposure was followed by over a dozen song placements in television series, video games and film - including the Netflix series Bloodline and the video game Rebel Galaxy.
