The Brown Boys Gospel Singers originated in 1982, under the management of Deaconess Anna Brown and the late Willie Brown, Sr. At that time, the group consisted of three brothers and cousins, ranging in ages between 10 and 14. While their peers were out playing, the young boys rehearsed several times a week learning to play their own instruments as well as practicing their vocals. As a result of years of dedication to perfecting their music, The Brown Boys developed their own unique and versatile style, which incorporated both contemporary and traditional genres of gospel music. The Brown Boyz reached the Billboard charts with many records, even the Top 30 Gospel charts with “Love Like That”, “It’s Alright”, and “Better Dayz”. As a result of their Billboard success, The Brown Boyz have received 4 Stellar Award nominations. The Brown Boyz have been blessed to tour throughout the United States sharing the stage with an endless list of world-renowned gospel artists such as, Yolanda Adams, Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, The Canton Spirituals, Lee Williams and The Spiritual QC’s, The Williams Brothers, Fred Hammond and James Fortune, just to name a few. In 2016, The Brown Boyz signed with a new manager, Shawn Christopher, Founder and President of The Christopher Entertainment Agency, and in 2017 they signed a new record deal with SIX19 Music, a record label owned by Shawn Christopher and distributed by Dream Label Group/Capital Christian Distribution.
