The Cast Before The Break

Post-rock underdogs The Cast Before the Break formed in an Upstate New York dorm room in 2007. Four years later, they signed with emo pioneers, Deep Elm Records, who re-released their emotional debut <a href="spotify:album:1umebN106pcEE0v55FCR2P" data-name="As Your Shoulders Turn On You">As Your Shoulders Turn On You</a> alongside their critically acclaimed sophomore release, <a href="spotify:album:34muzc8Z2A0xzSzCqBHPP9" data-name="Still">Still</a>. While the quintet began tracking the follow-up at a Connecticut-based studio on Red Cedar Lake, the group sadly disbanded, leaving the record half-finished on various hard drives. Nearly a decade later, the group came together (virtually) to finally finish the aptly titled Where We Are Now, which was released in the Spring of 2022 on Mint 400 Records, home also to singer/guitarist TJ Foster&#39;s new band <a href="spotify:artist:7wRoIyFUdrWD4zjW5fniJS" data-name="E.R.I.E.">E.R.I.E.</a>, and drummer Ryan Crosby&#39;s instrumental solo project <a href="spotify:artist:2cYEwv8X4etyL8XiZb4TYh" data-name="No Time For Caution">No Time For Caution</a>. Where We Are Now is hands down the most dynamic, raw and epic release of the band’s career, and perfectly encapsulates everything they put forth on their first two records.
