THE COURT
consists of four childhood friends from Malmö Sweden who have always shared the same dream. In 2023 we took the leap and decided to dedicate ourselves fully to music. Since then, we’ve spent our days and nights in a basement on Norra Grängesberg, shaping our debut EP.
Our sound is gritty, honest and nostalgic, with clear references to 90s britpop, but always filtered through our own time and experiences. We write songs that mean something to us, but also to the listener. The music and lyrics are always at the center. We’re aiming for the biggest stages in the world. “Like You Used To.” Our debut singel, It’s a middle finger straight up. Raw, direct and honest, with a hook that sticks immediately. The song shows exactly who THE COURT is.
No facade. No polish. Just energy, attitude and truth. It sounds like planned chaos, and that’s what makes it memorable. “Like You Used To” is anything but careful. It opens with a guitar-driven sound and a vocal delivery that doesn’t apologize for anything. It’s unfiltered and emotionally exposed not to be pretty, but to be real.
Sonically, the track carries the spirit of 90s britpop and indie rock without falling into retro aesthetics. This is the present. The guitars are dirty, the drums push forward, and the chorus hits instantly. It’s made to be screamed
along to preferably in a sweaty room where the floor is shaking.
