The Doolallys are a 3-piece guitar band based in Brighton. Their early raw lo-fi sound gained them multiple airplays on BBC Introducing in 2018 and a live radio slot in 2019. Since then, the band have naturally grown into their own unique sound, recording their biggest and best material in 2022 with Minchella and Manning for their upcoming debut EP. The kitchen sink lyricism is more down to earth, blunt and realistic whilst the music has a funky punk anthemic dynamic. The tragic loss of founding member, bassist and childhood best friend Connor Kilbane in October 2022 was just months after recording wrapped making the record the last thing he ever did. Despite the time away and re-think of the future of the band, singer, guitarist and songwriter Harry will carry on with The Doolallys name to honour bandmate and best friend Connor. The first release of their EP is the single ‘How Long Will This Go On?’ which was featured on BBC Introducing Track of the Day, ITV This Morning show in March 2024 and on John Kennedy’s X-Posure Daily Show on Radio X on May 30th. Since then they have released 2 more singles, the latest being Get Free which features a spoken word WhatsApp voicenote from Connor. If there was any song to sum the band up in-terms of lyrics and spirit it’s Get Free and now that his voice lives forever in the song. It was played on BBC Sussex as Track of the Day in November 2024. The new single Spoiler is to be released on 31st January 2025.
